  • The American Reed Organ and the Harmonium

The newly-released second edition of Dr. Whiting's book is a valuable resource for all things related to Estey reed organs. It contains a brief history of the company, copies of Estey catalogs from 1867, 1871, 1876, 1886, 1890, 1891, 1895, and 1903; the 1878 Organ Method that describes the stops, their use and care; studio pictures, and several musical scores. An additional resource is the serial numbers list, which can help in determining the age of your Estey reed organ.
  • Gellerman's International Reed Organ Atlas
    Robert F. Gellerman
This is the new second edition of an excellent book on reed organs. It covers such items as history, marketing, the stops and voices, music, restoration, tuning, and collecting. • Restoring & Collecting Antique Reed Organs
    Horton Presley
The book is a step-by-step guide covering all aspects of restoration efforts, including entire chapters on subjects such as tools, bellows restoration, tuning, disassembly procedures, case restoration, keyboard restoration, etc. Annotated photos help to make the procedures listed in the book useful for the inexperienced restorer. The appendix gives several supply sources.
  • Harmonium: The History of the Reed Organ & Its Makers
