How They Did Home Delivery

This is an excellent picture that illustrates just how the organ manufacturers delivered new pump organs to a customer’s home. Organs would first be shipped from the factory by rail to either a city or town, then, delivered to the customer by horse drawn wagon. We can see a new pump organ has been loaded, ready for delivery.
