Reed Organ Refinishing

Discovering the natural beauty of your organ's finish can be nothing short of stunning.

Although people that have their reed organ refinished are pleased with the results, a growing number are having their organ's finish left natural.

When a reed organ is refinished it's returned looking the way it did when it first left the factory over 100 years ago. However, just beneath that new finish lies some of the most beautiful wood this country has ever produced.

Since most of the old forests in this country are long gone, it's difficult, if not impossible, to match the quality of woods once used in the manufacturing of pump organs.

The following series of pictures show the results of a reed organ that was refinished, but left in its natural color. You'll be able to see the magnificent beauty of the oak wood that was generally used in the building of reed organs.
